Beach Breakfast Bowl

Breakfast is the most important meal in my day, and I not only eat porridge, but also bacon, eggs and sourdough toast every day. Porridge and fruit comes first to ensure slow release fuel until lunchtime - without it both I and my kids are starving by 10 am. Having a Low Histamine diet and a Coeliac to cater for, every single meal and food source are carefully considered to ensure optimal nutritional density, and value. Obsessed about food waste and seasonal homegrown / sustainable supply, as well as avoiding high histamine foods in every meal, means I have had to nail daily essentials into a quick formula. This breakfast bowl is an essential staple in our every day - mixing up the toppings and compotes throughout the seasons with what is ready in the Kitchen Garden…

I use Organic Gluten Free rolled Oats, and add homemade Kitchen Garden compote or apple or rhubarb - including skin. Fruit acid promoting an essential alkaline state. All toppings considered for their histamine levels and mineral nutrients.

  • GF Organic rolled Oats

  • Almond Milk / Coconut Milk. I slowly cook my porridge with 2/3’s nut milk with 1/3 water

  • Home Grown, Homemade Rhubarb Compote ( Low Histamine, High Fibre, Antioxidants, Anti-iinflamatory, Vitamins, Digestive liberator )

  • BlueBerries ( High Anti Oxdidants), Pumpkin Seeds ( Manganese), Strawberries ( Manganese) Edible Garden Petals ( Looking pretty & doing you no harm :))

  • And no I do not manage to make it look this pretty at home every day :)
